Night Projectionist #1 Comic Book. First Printing in NM Condition. Publisher/Year: Studio 407, April 2009
Independent film production, financing, and international sales company, Myriad Pictures and comic book company Studio 407 announced today that they are developing a feature film based on “The Night Projectionist” comic horror mini-series produced by the Santa Monica based publisher.
This will be the second project produced under Studio 407’s first look deal with Myriad Pictures, the first being “Hybrid,” which is tentatively slated to begin production in Puerto Rico next summer with horror director Ernie Barbarash (Cube Zero).
“The Night Projectionist” takes place on Halloween Eve, on the last night of a condemned small town theatre which is closing with an all night Draculathon. The moviegoers inside soon find themselves suddenly trapped and surrounded by a horde of vampires. A deadly siege begins, and the moviegoers soon make the terrifying discovery that the night projectionist himself is also a vampire. But is he friend or foe?
Managing director of Studio 407, Alex Leung says “We had an incredible experience working with Myriad on Hybrid, and it has progressed amazingly well. So it only made sense to do another one with them, especially when a large part of the rationale behind our deal with Myriad was to produce these particular kinds of films.”
