Life Undead #1 Comic Book. First Printing in NM Condition. Publisher/Year: IDW, September 2009
IDW officially announced today their plans to bring several of their comics to television. The first set of IDW comics that will be hitting the small screen include “Life Undead,” “Brooklyn Animal Control,” and “V Wars.” The announcement was made today by Ted Adams, CEO & Publisher, IDW Publishing.
David Mears is not your average zombie. He’s not a mindless killing machine that craves flesh. He’s a New Orleans narcotics cop, filled with the Voodoo spirits of vengeance. And now he’s out for payback. Hunting down the Haitian drug lord who sentenced him to a life without feeling, without a soul… a Life Undead.
David Ozer has been brought in to oversee brand extensions across IDW Publishing’s portfolio of comics and graphic novels for the global television market.
“IDW Publishing’s significant growth over the past several years, particularly in the theatrical arena with a number of properties currently in development at major studios, together with the ever increasing popularity of our creator-owned titles, have provided us with the ideal opportunity to expand into multi-platform entertainment,” said Adams in making the announcement. “David’s depth of distribution and finance expertise in television, coupled with his production knowledge and his extensive relationships within the entertainment community, make him the perfect choice for spearheading our aggressive move into television.”
